The Twenties Club’s Holiday Gift Guide 2017

Christmas is 26 days away and none of us are organised.

But in our defence, we’re never organised. Christmas is no exception to our perpetually scattered minds.

The Twenties Club’s annual holiday gift guide is here and it’s H-U-G-E. Everything on the list is under $500 and almost everything can be purchased online and shipped straight to your door! Chic!

P.s. Parents, siblings, boyfriends, girlfriends – if you have any questions about any of these products, send me a message and I’ll do my best to help ♥

The Facialist Gift Voucher (90 Min Bespoke Facial) | $220

The Facialist believes that our skin is a direct reflection of what is going on inside our bodies as a result of stress, nutrition and lifestyle. They craft bespoke prescriptions and facials that cater to your skin’s needs and have been getting heaps of buzz since launching in Auckland earlier this year. The Facialist’s incredible founder Ashleigh Scott also does one-on-one skin coaching and holistic recommendations because she’s in such high demand. Click here.

 S’well Water Bottle | $75
S’well was launched by Sarah Kauss with the mission to rid the world of plastic bottles. She believed that if they made a bottle that combined fashion with function, people would stop buying disposable bottles, and they could significantly reduce single-use plastic consumption worldwide. I have a pale pink S’well bottle and it has made a huge difference in my plastic consumption. Smith & Caughey’s stock an extensive range of the S’well bottles! Find it in the homewares department at Smith & Caugheys, or click here.

Magic Stone Essential Oil Diffuser | $99I have this diffuser in my bedroom and I love it so much! Because it’s a diffuser and not a burner you get all the health benefits of whatever oil you’ve put in, rather than burning the oil. I like a combination of ylang ylang, sweet orange and cinnamon for about an hour before I go to sleep. You add 1-2 drops of oil to half a cup of water and you can select different light colours and settings. I purchased mine from Wise Cicada, otherwise click here.

Mid Century Swag Quartz Geode Sculpture | $150

Mid Century Swag is one of the coolest online stores in New Zealand right now. They have an incredible range of crystal objects and art, like this super cool sculpture. From what I can tell, their products sell out really fast so it pays to be quick babes. Click here.

Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil | $85

I only discovered this cleanser at the beginning of the year and it has fast become one of my favourites for removing makeup and washing my skin before bed. It has Jasmine flower extract in it so it smells incredible and it’s perfect for young girls or women with sensitive skin. It also doesn’t strip any natural oils away from the skin which some heavy duty cleansers do. Head into a Bobbi Brown store, Mecca store, or click here.

Lonely Lingerie Lena Underwire Bra | $90

This is the comfiest bra I own at the moment, so much so that I’ve got two – the black mesh and the black fishnet. It also comes in a beautiful paprika colour. Click here.

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Fragrance 50ml | $378

I’m a little biased about this because it’s my all-time favourite fragrance, but who wouldn’t want to get Tom Ford for Christmas? No one. That’s who. Plus it smells like a private island. Find it at the Tom Ford counter in Smith & Caugheys, or click here.

The Twenties Club Dad Hat | $45

After selling out earlier in the year, the Dad Hats are back for summer! And if you’re not in your twenties this is just the perfect excuse to lie about your age. Also if you’re bald this is a fabulous option. Click here.

Too Much And Not The Mood by Durga Chew-Bose | $30

If I could only recommend one book to you this year, it would probably be this. In 1931, Virginia Woolf ended her entry in A Writer’s Diary with the words “too much and not the mood.” She was describing how tired she was of correcting her own writing to please other readers, wondering if she had anything at all that was truly worth saying. That sentiment inspired Durga Chew-Bose to write and collect her own work. The result is an emotional and insightful collection of essays, letters and poetry about self-identity. Click here.

New York Times Digital Subscription | (US) $6/month

I bought myself a NYT subscription at the start of this year and absolutely love it. I pay (US) $6 a month and get unlimited access to all of the articles at any time and on any device. This is a particularly good pressie idea for someone who loves their famous opinion pieces. Click here.

Missoni Bath Towel | $220The chicest beach towel possible, I’ve wanted one of these for years! Click here.

Glossier Invisible Shield Sunscreen | $34

In my opinion, the Glossier Invisible Shield is the best face sunscreen on the market right now. My skin has been reacting to sunscreens for years and this is the only one it will happily tolerate. I bought mine from Glossier using New Zealand Post YouShop since the brand doesn’t currently ship direct. Click here beach babes.

Essenza Mini | $299

This is Nespresso’s most compact machine ever – it is seriously so cute (and cheaper than a Tom Ford fragrance!!). The Essenza Mini comes in two distinct shapes and in three colours: pure white, ruby red or lime green. It also offers two cup sizes depending on what kind of coffee you are making. My Essenza Mini has spent time in both my office and my kitchen, and it truly is the perfect size for a twenty-something with a small home and an even smaller budget. Visit a Nespresso Boutique, or click here.

Nespresso Limited Edition Confetto Trio Pack | $33.50

This year, Nespresso have collaborated with rad designers Craig & Karl for the packaging of this year’s Christmas collection of limited edition capsules. This trio pack includes all three of the limited edition flavours: Snowball (Livanto married with notes of coconut and vanilla), Licorice (Livanto married with notes of spice and licorice) and Orangette (Livanto married with notes of orange peel and a hint of chocolate). I’ve tried all three and these are incredible, plus the colourful packaging makes it the cutest stocking filler. Visit a Nespresso Boutique, or click here.

Madeworn Tee | Approx. $225

The Madeworn label was born in LA out of the desire to craft teeshirts that looked as loved and lived-in as the old school band tees of the 70s and 80s like Pink Floyd, Ramones, Rolling Stones and The Beach Boys. My sisters and I love these tees so much! I got mine from Superette but you can also get them from online stores like ShopBopClick here.

PE Nation Limited Edition Leggings | $169

I think anything from PE Nation would be considered a Christmas pressie winner, but these limited edition leggings are particularly desirable and super high on my list this year. Click here.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum | $136It’s hardly a surprise that I’ve featured Advanced Night Repair on the gift guide this year. It’s one of the most game-changing skincare products I’ve ever used. If you want to ask for an “investment” piece of skincare for Christmas this year, I’d consider ANR. Find it at the Estee Lauder counter at Smith & Caugheys, or click here.

Camilla and Marc Giralda Dress | $479This dress would be the perfect gift for a sister (that happens to be the same size as you so that you can borrow it). Smith & Caughey’s have an amazing range of both Camilla and Marc and C&M in their Miss Smith fashion department. Head into Smith & Caugheys, or click here.

The Caker x Karen Walker White Chocolate, Orange + Hazelnut Cookie Mix
This really doesn’t need any justifying. It’s cookies and it’s fool-proof. Click here.

Reliquia Star Sign Necklace | $149

Reliquia has been my favourite jewellery brand this year after first discovering it on Instagram in February when their gold hoop earrings basically went viral. More recently, they’ve released a range of star sign necklaces with a corresponding image printed on each one (the image above is for Aquarius). This is the current it-girl jewellery label and this necklace would be the perfect gift for a sister or daughter! Hi moms! Click here.

MARLE Lomas Skirt | $200

Marle is a New Zealand label which uses luxurious natural yarn and fabrics to create simple but modern silhouettes like this skirt which I think would look super cool paired with a men’s white shirt or slouchy tee. Find this skirt and other Marle pieces in the Miss Smith fashion department in Smith & Caughey’s or click here.

Compartes Chocolate |$22

Compartes Chocolate was founded in Los Angeles in the 1950s and still has a cult-following all these years later. They have the most insane flavours like White Chocolate Vanilla Cake & Sprinkles and Milk Chocolate Donuts & Coffee, and their packaging is so beautiful. The perfect stocking filler. Head into Blush Flowers, or click here.
