Exactly one year after an army of women first took the streets of Washington, New York and Los Angeles to protest Donald Trump’s inauguration into the White House, those same marchers and millions more are back again – and this time they had louder voices and bigger signs.
This years Women’s March couldn’t have come at a more poignant time. A time when we are still very much in the thick of #MeToo and only in the opening act of the #TimesUp revolution.
It’s easy to compare the last two years and question the progress that has been made; minorities are still facing discrimination, United States Congress is still ignoring climate change, men are still getting paid more, and the psychotic man-child with the tiny hands and inflated ego is still in the top spot.
But we must remember that this is a marathon, not a sprint.
