The Celebrities Who Wore Black At The 2018 Golden Globes And Why

The 2018 Golden Globe Awards are officially underway in Los Angeles right now, and the red carpet looked vastly different from it’s previous years.

Actors and actresses of all different ages and races created politically and socially-charged moments by wearing entirely black outfits and adorning #TIMESUP pins on their gowns and suit jackets. The colour black was used to symbolise solidarity for victims of sexual assault in the workplace all over the world and the #TIMESUP pin was designed by Reese Witherspoon and designer Arianne Phillips to raise awareness for the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund. A fund which will provide subsidized legal support to women and men who have experienced sexual harassment, assault, or abuse in the workplace and while in pursuit of their careers. The money in this fund has accumulated from MASSIVE donations of up to $1 million each from the likes of Emma Stone, Meryl Streep, Amy Schumer, Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner and hundreds of other famous faces.

This was a red carpet unlike any other and it gave me goosebumps to see such grace and power emulating from actors and actresses we adore. Here are my favourite looks.
