21 THINGS WE WISH WE’D KNOWN EARLIER

02.06.16

I compiled this list while in my final year at University and gave a copy of it to each of my 11 flatmates. It was inspired by a similar list my mother had given me a few years earlier. While time may have passed, I still wish my girlfriends and I had known these twenty one things earlier.

Sunblock is a necessity- not a lifestyle choice.

A lot of things walk like love and talk like love- but aren’t love.

There’s a difference between being high maintenance and being highly maintained.

Getting older is nothing to be afraid of- your birthday is not your age.

Not everyone you’re friends with will be worth holding on to.

Freckles are okay.

Always put yourself at number one. No one else will.

The things we fear will probably never happen.

Random stuff we never expect will definitely happen.

Hangovers get worse with age.

Intuition is always right.

Everyone is too busy worrying about themselves to focus on you.

Some women are just better at walking in heels.

Success is never final, failure is never fatal but courage always counts.

When you marry you are marrying the whole family.

Tequila is seriously evil.

You won’t always get what you want but you will always get what you need.

Exercise is fun…eventually.

No one is perfect. Thank god.

You need to stand up for what is right, even if you’re standing alone.

Trimming your own fringe is never a good idea.
